SG: Where do you currently live and work?

BG: I live in Phoenix, in the Arcadia area (I love Radio Milano). I work for a marketing company, My position at the company is National Sales and Marketing Director.

SG: What mediums do you work with?

BG: What’s available?!!! When I was traveling around I would use what ever I could find or afford. That enabled me to become very versatile as an artist. I enjoy experimenting with new materials. I’ve done some mild design attempts on restaurants and such. But I found my love in children’s illustration!

SG: Describe your working process when creating a new work.

BG: Music! I gotta have music!! I usually start with a shape and just build from there. As far as my studio stuff, I BLAST the Nakamichi and get to sketching. After the sketch I usually build my panels or cut my plexiglass., then get to creating.

SG: What kind of things do you do when you get blocked or find it hard to create something?

BG: MUSIC… I think the Ipod was invented by an artist!! It is the perfect best friend for any artist!

SG: Where are you currently finding your inspiration?

BG: Life inspires me! I love life and love people even more!!!

SG: Where has your work been seen?

BG: …From the Redwood forest to the gulf stream waters….. A few spots here and there. Mostly in folks homes though!

SG: Where will it be seen next?

BG: I just got a order in Japan, some Soulbots.com stuff!! People are loving the robots right now!

SG: What is your dream art assignment?

BG: Illustrating a New York Times children’s best seller!

SG: What is your favorite color?

BG: G-R-E-E-N!! Did you know it’s the heart chakra?

SG: Who is your favorite artist? And Why?

BG:  …hmmm? That is a great question! Favorite artist?? Hmmm…

SG: What book/magazine are you reading this week?

BG: I am currently reading three books. The first (with 38 pages to go) is ‘ Move Ahead with Possibility Thinking’ by Robert Schuller. The second, ‘The Magic Ladder to Success’ by Napoleon Hill. The third is one of my favorites, ‘Phsyco-Cybernetics’ by Maxwell Maltz. I could read that book 10 more times!! I highly recommend , ‘Think & Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill.

SG: Ever do a self portrait? Where is it now?

BG: Never did a self portrait…hmm.

SG: Where is your favorite place to hang out?

BG: Home, The studio, LGO, Drip, LOLA & AVALON

SG: Any final words of advice?

BG: If you want success you have to work hard for it. If you work hard you have to work towards something. Work to find your bliss. Life is all about finding and keeping your bliss!! Go get yours and Keep it!! Have fun doing what you love and love what you are doing…now get back to work!!!
